Jamie Lee Shebelski is an award-winning actor and playwright.  Born and raised in Saskatoon, she trained at the prestigious Ryerson Theatre School in Toronto where she earned her Diploma in Performing Art, as well as a BFA, both with Honours.

A professional actor since the age of 15, she has appeared on stages across Canada, from Whitehorse to Toronto.  She made her debut on the professional stage as Mary Lennox in The Secret Garden under the guidance and mentorship of the late Tibor Feheregyhazi.  She has gone on to appear on the Persephone stage numerous times, including roles in Anne, The Diary of  Anne Frank, The Guardsman, the hit-comedy Dry Streak, the critically-acclaimed world premiere of The Walnut Tree (SATAward for Outstanding Achievement in Performance), and most recently, Gordon Winter, in which she was fortunate to share the stage with Canadian legend Gordon Tootoosis. 

Other select credits include The Secret Garden, Merlin (Western Canada Theatre); Silence (Northern Light Theatre); Lig & Bittle (Concrete Theatre/LKTYP); Scorched Ice, It’s All True, The Coronation Voyage (Last Exit Theatre); Romeo and Juliet, The Comedy of Errors, The Taming of The Shrew, Two Gentlemen of Verona, The Merchant of Venice, The Merry Wives of Windsor (Shakespeare on the Saskatchewan); The Prophecy of Shri (Quest Theatre); The Keeper (Station Arts Centre) The Alchemist, The Selkie Wife, West of the 3rd Meridian, The Song Spinner, The Food Show, Reflections - The Little Prince (Dancing SkyTheatre).

Jamie Lee has been involved in the development and workshopping of several new Saskatchewan plays through SPC’s Spring Festival, most notably Velocity by Dan Macdonald and Bite the Hand by Mansel Robinson. She is also a popular voice-over artist in Saskatchewan, having done plays for CBC Radio One (Glacial Erratic and Coping Stages), as well as numerous radio and tv ads.
